Roku takes great pride in helping our brand partners be unmissable. As you’ll see in our “Short Takes” videos below, Roku is helping brands like Ally Bank, Walgreens and the NBA use our powerful streaming formats to tell unique stories and create demand for their products and services.
In these fun clips, you’ll hear directly from CMOs about their experiences with Roku. They, like us, believe that TV streaming is critical to every marketing strategy.
Video #1: Unmissable In Streaming
Ally Financial and Paramount recognize the power of engaging with audiences across the entire streaming journey. In this video, CMO Andrea Brimmer explains how Ally Financial is exploring a range of TV streaming opportunities through its Roku partnership, from smart brand integrations to original production.
Paramount Streaming EVP and CMO Domenic DiMeglio explains how the company created its own cultural moment with a Roku City neighborhood featuring Paramount franchises such as “PAW Patrol” and “Star Trek.”
“What we saw was fans really loved it,” he says.
Video #2: Streaming as a Full Funnel Solution
The NBA sees streaming TV as critical to reach a broader audience, says CMO Tammy Henault. The league’s content also aligns well with streaming, further driving performance.
Streaming TV ads help Paramount reach viewers in the critical moments when they are making decisions about what to watch, DiMeglio says.
Both Valerie Kaplan, Pluto’s global head of marketing, and Samantha Lev, Walgreens’ director of enterprise planning, leverage streaming TV to create demand at the top of the marketing funnel and capture demand at the bottom.
“In order to have sustainable growth,” Kaplan says, “you have to have both.”
Video #3: Ad Innovation
Ally Financial’s Brimmer believes that streaming TV ad innovations can unlock new opportunities for deeper storytelling compared to other channels.
Walgreens’ Lev says the brand is leaning into TV streaming’s innovative ad formats to promote a new one-hour delivery service. Pause ads allow viewers to scan a QR code on the screen, which takes them directly to the Walgreens app, where they can shop and order items for a one-hour delivery. Easy peasy.
Video #4: Culture of Innovation
How can brands cultivate a culture of innovation in their companies?
Fail fast, Brimmer says. Take risks. Be brave.
Lev cautions that innovation is a mix of art, science and an understanding of what has previously moved the needle.
"What has worked in the past is just not always going to work in the future," she says.
Video #5: What Are You Streaming?
Marketers are streamers too. What are they watching? Hint: More "Real Housewives" than they care to admit.
And like many of you, some couldn’t be more excited to welcome Dr. Frasier Crane back.
What are you streaming?
